I've just found out, one of the forum members has been in hospital for eight or so weeks, which is why he hasn't been on lately.
Plz join me in wishing johnymarr a speedy recovery.
Hope you feel much better soon, mate.
All the best.

Hi All, Thanks very much for the messages that was very kind of you and it made me kinda well up for a bit. Many thanks to Jim for the post and the pm too Not home yet but hope to be next Monday or even this Monday though there is some doubt about that. it also means that due to the meds that i am unable to drive etc for three months after release as docs have duty to report to DVLA but fine afterwards with them and with insurance companies i've been told also. Any help or guidance more than welcome as usual about the following
Gives me a chance to do a few jobs over the winter on my px which are:
1 Finally tackle taking off mudguard for the usual rust removal and treatment - looked on site before and still not sure how to do step by step
2 Take off pointy K9 horn snout and use bodyfiller to fill and shape so no snout which i hate (worst gripe on px i think)
3 Tackle some rust around the usual runner areas which
4 Looking for a small compressor so that i can add attachments for spraying and cutting etc
5 Going to get myself a 500cc cruiser bike or above and keep it till i past my test
Anyway chaps thanks very much again for the goodwill and pointers with the rest Best wishes

Unbolt the mudguard and spin it off with a grinder. Then replace with a GP lamby one.... Or take off properly and replace with fibreglass, look for midnormold on eBay, they do good stuff... All that "fun" can wait though, concentrate on getting better.

Hi Ironsloth, great to hear from you. Ah know,ah know, ah know i should be concentrating on that but ah canny help myself as i will be stuck at home with my scoot and it's planned work anyway (trying poorly to justify this) as i know i need time to rest...been two years to the day yesterday since a brain injury and i canny wait to gt back in my shed (which im planning to extend by another 12x10 if the council let me)
Dont fanct the fibreglass at all as i always go for stock set up and OEM at all items BTW called my mate tonight from the hospital to go visit a bike for me and buy also Thanks again mate that was very kind of you

I only "know π" johnnymarr through the forum and have never met or spoken to him, apart from on here. I'd like to think, if any member needed cheered up, most of us would rally round βΊ, of course I could be wrong and most members may have joined only to TAKE and not Giveπ and in my book, that's not cool.π
Come on my fellow members, johnymarr could do with more messages of support.βΊ
Ride safe. MijβΊπ

If he was close by, sure enough I would take a sh*t on the path outside his house to cheer the place up a bit.... ππ I'm the same Mij, only met one person off the forum, and he's not a murderer or anything... Strangely, most of that day I've forgotten.... π

Johnnymarr, here's a link showing how to remove a front mudguard π, just to give you something to think about. vespa.proboards.com/thread/3487/px-disc-front-mudguard-replacement. I personally always replace the standard px mudguard with a T5 mudguard, usually a fiberglass one, as I think they look good, when also fitted with a T5 horncover and you don't have to worry about rust anymore, you also get standard looking mudguards in fiberglass π π www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vespa-PX-Mudguard-PX-Disc-Mudguard-PX-Drum-Mudguard-WILL-NEVER-RUST-/263236288830?hash=item3d4a1b013e:g:wfEAAOSwKVFZlHqiMy choice of horncover is T5 (though you do have to move the horn about), www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VESPA-T5-HORNCASE-GRILL-HORNCAST-/132337364304?epid=1950093138&hash=item1ecfebed50:g:xkEAAOSwr7ZW4BJn mark1 Px(straight swap, apart from needs 2 holes drilled at the top, where the top badge goes π www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vespa-PX-mk-1-horn-cover-/132352628400?hash=item1ed0d4d6b0:g:ZFsAAOSwt5hYa8B4Hope you're still feeling a bit better, mate.
