Hi all, just bought myself a Vespa 150 Super from 1973 today. Great looking wee scoot but dumbfounded as to where to start with it. I bought it from a garage who had it in for work over 2 years ago. It was serviced, mot'd,carb cleaned out etc and then it was abandoned by the owner without any contact. It amassed almost £1500 in unpaid bills and storage charges and I bought it today.
It has been un-started in 2 years since it's last Mot and is showing 2 miles on the speedo which i know is definitely wrong. Got loads to ask you good folks about it. I have the V5 registered to the garage but there are no keys with this bike and no sign of an ignition anywhere but i managed to get it started today albeit revving hard from start up as throttle or choke seems to be stuck. It's also called a super 150 but the V5 says it's a 125??
Any info would be gratefully accepted, many thanks.

Well village idiot or not, you have way more answers than me. I was panicking about the key and the shop had said, there was no key for it. I couldn't understand it, theres a lockable side box and what must be a steering lock. I said, how do you stop it. He said, stall it,lol. I figured out it has a kill switch on right switchgear. Easy to steal then me thinks.

People years ago kept losing things ,so It was to stop people misplacing the keys🤓 Just fit a toggle cut off switch,,,and a hidden one on the (-------) there. (can't tell you where it is) Don't think the ignitions are that great anyway
