Whitey66, can't see your photo, but you should maybe look at sime66's excellent biscuit colour sparkplug chart/colour guideš, it's on the forum somewhere, hopefully someone will find it and post a link, or check sime66's postings šš. Good luck. Mijāŗ

damm photo(sick)bucket ,things damm near unusable ,too many adverts ,an they want paying ,people are leaving in droves . heard good things about imageshack, an i use flickr now . anyways can see plug now , 1st look ok for mix , but the colour change on earth electrode is too near the tip . should be around halfway back to body , a 9es is recommended plug for a t5 .so either go down a number or thrash the scoot more ,was that a proper plug chop or just pulled to have a look-see .as plug looks oily as if its not been upto temp . had similar on a mates t5 with sip road2 ,kept fouling/oiling the plug , went to a bh8es an its been fine ever since . tho on my 2 t5 engines ,one stock an one polini 152 ,on the advise of friend/long time t5 nut/local piaggio dealer ive switched to champion N-2c's ,they seem to last longer an are less prone to foul in around town/traffic driving . an a sito+ is basically a copy of the stock t5 pipe , ive never changed jetting when fitting them to t5's ,on px motors i jet same as for a sip road2 .H

H, any image-heavy stuff me, you, pxguru and vespasco did before 2015 is buggered up on this forum; all images lost to photobucketās final insult. I changed to Flikr in January 2015, so my stuff after that (except film) is OK for now; later I started using Youtube, so later film is OK too. For now, I think Flikr and Youtube is the way to go on forums (like this one) that keep their costs down by not supporting direct uploading/storage of images and film; there's no guarantee any image host won't do the same as photobucket though. For future, long, involved threads, such as tuning/build threads, is also potentially wasted on forums that rely on third-party hosting like this, because they can pull the plug (or demand payment) at any time. This forum seems to be steering away from that sort of thread anyway, so on here it probably doesnāt matter too much now. As it happens Whitey66, I reposted that biscuit scale from Flikr on a later thread, which Iāll post below, but bear in mind that it started as a joke because someone said their plug was ābiscuit colourā, so was originally intended to demonstrate that ābiscuit colourā was a pretty useless description; the Biscuit Scale developed from there ā more of an in-joke than intended to be taken seriously years later (you may also find vespascoās cup-of-tea scale) ā sorry if you wasted too much time looking for it unnecessarily, itās really no big deal; losing the old (pre-2015) threads is a big deal (to me) though; we used to do some interesting stuff, which is lost here now ā Iām glad I kept backups of it. For what it's worth, youāll find the biscuit scale image half-way through this thread: vespa.proboards.com/thread/5553/highAnother image Iāve found useful is this one (note what H is saying about the electrode, for example):
Hope you sort it; you've got plenty of advice already, so I'll but-out and leave you to it.

The engine was opened to replace cruciform and seals etc, nothing major, so don't want thrash engine, short local rides at moment ( traffic driving) and not going above 50 MPH, think i will try the Champion plug and possibly an 8es.

ah thats ok then , as just pootling around bedding in a new build i'd leave that plug in ,unless it starts fouling .if you do go down a number when run in you will need to go back to a 9 to thrash it .an lets be honest ,its a t5 motor ,they only really like 1 throttle position ,wide-open . H
