Well that was a laugh ! On the Lammy , 3 miles out of Cleethorpes managed to hole my piston ! π‘ My fault was giving it too much in the outside lane of the duel carrigeway ! Managed to coast to the side of road thankfully and then about a mile push against traffic to the nearest slip road off ! Luck would have it there was a pub in rolling distance where I parked up with a pint to ring the AA for recovery ! Two pints later .... π‘π‘π‘ 90 miles home , unloaded , jumped on the Vespa and went back ! W.O.T. all the way , never missed a beat ! I was a bit knackered when I got there with a numb ar*e but it was worth it in the end , top weekend ! π Old faithfull ! Cheers .

My hat is lifted to you sir. There aren't many that would go through that and still jump on the Vespa and do it all over again. I'd have been sat in my garage cursing for hours. Well done mate, true dedication.

Serious respect for jumping on a trusty Vespa and heading back there! Couple of good looking scoots you have there.

swm, is that an adjustable YSS front shock your using on your Vespa? Are they any good?
What's the guage you have fitted to the Vespa, mate?
Hope you don't mind me being nosey π.

Mij , Yes mate well spotted ! Its a YSS , had it on a while now with no complaints . Not daft money and better than the original it replaced , (once I'd got it set to my liking) Got it from the Fatherland , see the link on this old thread for pic / price / etc. vespa.proboards.com/thread/5223/uprated-front-shock
The gauge is a Stage 6 digital rev counter , which is also a nice bit of kit. Comes with a temp sensor as well which I didn't bother with . Bowt 60 quid if memory serves , but it's been on a while ! I like to see the numbers climb and when it turns red I knock it up one !!!!
Cheers.
