Hi all. Wonder if anyone can spare me a minute to help set me right please? i bought these EBC FA186 pads for my 2002 px www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VESPA-PX125-PX150-PX200-1998-2015-MODELS-ORGANIC-FRONT-BRAKE-PADS-SET-FA186-/401284068374?hash=iteas they say they are for my year / scoot and i double checked this before i bought them but i got them before i took the old ones out as i wanted to have them at hand so i could change them right away as i was renewing my brake fluid and thought best to change pads too The ones that just came out of my 2 year old caliper (Piaggio which came with the pads i'm sure) have a different rounded square head and shoulders and are slightly wider and a smidgeon taller ,looking very much like this www.t-a-s-s.co.uk/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=28&products_id=3505&osCsid=c4a5e22d92d2a0b52bd4f5d313a36bBut, according to the link i just found and did above found it looks like the caliper was updated in 2015 and the pad style was changed and as i unluckily replaced my caliper in 2015 then sods law i'm knackered and have to replace the ones i bought for the updated square pads?? Make any sense? Any help much appreciated

Try em in ! If they fit then obviously check that they work ok before you set off to test em ! But If the ones you bought dont fit or match the ones you took out then as you say "your knackerd" ! Sods law , but at least you'll know next time . Does your new calliper look like the one in the second link ?
Cheers .

When buying disk pads take them out and measure them first (Its only one clip & pin). Then buy from a site that gives the dimensions, so you know what you are getting. There are several types out there now and all nearly the same size.

I rang EBC (I know the car guy there) and for my 56 plate I bought SFA186 front pads, they fitted fine. I would have said yours was right, but it's the usual trick, measure twice, buy once.
