Today I have mostly been moaning at the tv Put a bet on A.Griezman to score the first in the World Cup final And he takes a free kick,ON TARGET takes a deflection And they give it as an own goal. Next goal takes a bigger deflection,,but thatβs Not an own goal Just feel cheated

Today i have mostly been forgetting to brake in time at a T junction whilst in my car. A slight coming together with a ford transit van happened which has left me Β£600 excess out of pocket. Whilst it was mostly cosmetic damage to my mercedes, the tranny van came off much worse. Fair play the van driver took it in good stead - he laughed comparing the damage and knowingly said Mercedes are built like tanks. Suppose Im glad that I didnt hit a scooter or biker, and that no-one was hurt.

saw quite a few PX125s, a few old P200es, but loads of PKs, Cosas, and 50 Specials. All of these are heavily outnumbered 3:1 by modern Liberty Piaggio things and other scooters that I dont know the name of.

I was also in Italy for my holidays and noticed the same phenomenon of twist and go very popular, I also checked out prices, and 50 special seem popular and sought after as I think a 15 year old can ride it as well as everyone else in the family, also that was a lot of peoples first scooter so they buy them when they are older to re-live the good old days. Primavera are worth a fortune over there, but in the for sale web pages you rarely see a v90. The 150 cc and above are popular as they can be used on autostrade. It looks like the Italians have realised we have been importing their historic vehicles for years and now they are running out, they also seem to like to restore back to original factory spec.

they have to restore ,italian laws are to be historic an pay 2-300 a year insurance its got to be totally stock ,otherwise its very difficult to register an mot an insurance is thousands a year .a 50cc can be ridden at 14 ,no insurance or even a reg plate ,pk 50's i saw use to be held in common by familys or even whole villages .an 2 strokes are banned from some citys ,rome an milan i think ,so 4 stroke twist n goes are the only choice .H

Today I've mostly been... Rubbing down my side panels (2) and about to paint them. This came about because I was fixing my Grandson's bike yesterday ( he's 4 years old) as I was doing that, he went I to my toolbox, took out screw drivers and spanners and being the kind wee boy he is, helped!!! me by 'fixing' my panels, at least he's keen to learn π.
Ride safe.

Today I've mostly been...getting more bad news, my Brother-in-law, who lives near London, went into hospital during the week, they say he has bone cancer and has also had undiagnosed MS, for a long time,he had his arm amputated yesterday and while they were operating, his organs started to shut down.He is in a coma and also has Septis and Pneumonia.
For the above reason, I'm having a time out, away from the forum. Sorry if I've let anyone down on the info front, hope you understand.

Scooterg and citydaz, thank for the kind words. Chick was awake for the last three weeks but was very frail and experiencing phantom itching on his amputated arm.My wife said he was talking away fine, if a bit hoarse. All he wanted to do was hold her hand every time she visited him, which was as often as possible from last Friday till Sunday evening, when she had to come home. His parting words to her were 'see you next weekend' to which she replied jokingly ' only if I win the lottery as it cost so much to see you'. I've just been looking at some photos of him she took when he was napping in his hospital bed, he looks so thin and frail with his arm off to his shoulder. My tears have come at last this morning after seeing the photo.
Jim.

Ianmartin40, aye they work well, already had one in my tool kit though, so the Β£100ish that the trampoline cost made it expensive! π.
Small tip for anyone without a spring puller, a boot or shoelace or some electrical wire works just about as good as a spring puller when needed π.

Today I've mostly been... Ruminating about the 7cm potentially cancerous growth the found in my wife at hospital yesterday, Doctors are having a meeting about her case on Monday and waiting for her appointment with the cancer experts in the Western General Hospital.Hope to God it's benign.
Her Brother Chick's ( my Brother-in -law's) funeral is on Monday coming(12 Nov) and it seems such a short time ago, we lost my good friend John to cancer.
Trying to keep it together for my wife is going to be hard, we've been together from 1988.
Not in any way looking for sympathy, just letting you all know, as I may or may not disappear from the forum at times.
Jim/mij.
