Hi,
Newbie from Wirral (UK).
GTS300ie (2010).
Question if i May?
Scoot has at some point been submerged (I know cos when I bought it there were fish under the floor!). I have replaced the head gasket which was damaged.
However, I have a problem. Took it for it's first ride since I did the work (and a new MOT). Ran very well. Plenty of power, no overheating. Thought all was well.
Just thought i'd check the oil to confirm no headgasket leaks. It was not! Emulsified oil came out of the fill hole! I assumed this was the coolant leaking into to oil.
Oh well I thought must be head and or barrel so ordered a replacement.
Just been starting to drain oils etc in preparation for the engine out (again). Now very confused, the coolant is still at the level that I filled it to (i.e. does not appear to have leaked via head gasket/split barrel into the oil)!!!
Am I missing something obvious? Don't want to start replacing the head/barrel etc if I don't need to. Just can't fathom how the oil has emulsified/grown in volume enough to come out of the filler hole when coolant "appears" no to have been lost and bike runs fine.
Many thanks for any advice.
