nice job , goth . today ive mostly been stripping 2 sets of smallframe forks to make 1 good set for a 50 spesh .it came with the 4 stud 9" open rim type hub an no speedo drive .so i cannibalised the v90 forks from my clash cut down to make good ,an 5 stud 10" hub . off to paint shop an leg n links wheel silver an hubs engine paint shiny black to match the powder coated frame . have to start a build thread an start posting piccys . that just left enuff time before "beer o'clock " to slam engine into my lame-bed-wetta an stick the seat on . now when i'm havin a fag can sit on it an make "brum-brum" noises . Henri, did you get your shelving fitted? (I'm trying to use your example to motivate me to rearrange my shed.lol) pishing of rain here on and off and will have to emplty all the ( useful, good 😂) sh?te out of my shed, to even begin tidying it up! Usually find stuff I've forgot about, found a complete iron Polini 177 kit (used) and a machined top Polini barrel with base packing plate ( with size marks),I tuned in the 1990's I think.lol, when I was checking for someone,a wee while ago for how many used 166 kits I had tucked away😵 All the best. Jim.☺

Argh it's been months since I've touched the Sportique, the missus '72 VW camper has been keeping me busy and sapping my motivation I've been literally forcing myself out there every morning to do the littlest amounts She yanked on the handbrake a few months back and snapped both rear cables. Jacked it up and started pulling it all apart First thing was the drum backplates were like rusty lace and fell apart It's a faff to get the hubs off because she's got some old BRMs on it and you can't get the split pins out with a wheel on. So it's wheels off, split pins out, wheels on, undo 46m hubnut that's at 250lb per ft then wheels off again Stripped each one down and snapped a brake pipe Both brake conduits were bent so I had to straighten them before I could thread new cables Every time I did one job something else broke Got most of it back together Friday and realised the drums are ovalled and it's almost impossible to adjust Picked up some new drums, shoes and associated pins and springs so hopefully bleed them monday and job done It's a love hate thing owning a VW but she's had it 22 years and it's part of the family Here's a pic of one of the b*st**ds that's been mocking me. New backplate, handbrake cable and pins

Today I (so far) have been mostly waiting for time to pass so I can get out of work and get test my new drilled air filter and jetting! Fitted a 104 jet and the filter last night but didn't have a chance to get out and play. Judging by the smoke that it was kicking out idling thought I think I might need to come down a couple of jet sizes...

Just been out for a blast. Did about a mile chilled and thrashed it back. Was expecting abit more of a wet plug with the 104 but it seemed to pull and sound abit better with the new filter. Here is a before and after plug comparison... After. What you guys think? It seemed to pull smooth all the way to 55 without any flat spots. Would have gone faster but ran out of road. Maybe abit flat through 1st but that might be just my riding skills. Thanks for all the advice. Kriss.

Getting cold scooting to work! What happened to the weather? Also spent the weekend test out some jetting driving around Epping and cutting through the London traffic. Was having problems with the scooter not restarting once it was warm and a slight bog in 1st when pulling away warm. Plug was pretty black so dropped my MJ down to a 102. Seems abit better. Starts quicker when warm (although not as well as I think it should) and the bog in first seems to have gone which is nice and the plug seems to be a nicer colour again.
Hope everyone had a good weekend!

thanks sime , your a magician , its all magic/trickery to me this puter stuff , i thought that was what i was doing but obviously not .thanks. cheers mushroom , ive seen the bsg stuff in the flesh ,very trick ,think i'd go pinasco tho as ya can change the tree without splitting cases .got a pk cases/ets crank an dr125 kit an polini carb n pipe to go in .its more my kind of budget , spare cases from a scoot bought n sold =£00.00, ets crank £28 ,dr kit given to me as it had sat in shop for 15 years with a bust ring, new .carb was £20 from a mate an pipe was £20 coz it needed mount welding from clumsy fitting. with bearings n seals/gaskets stands me at 135 with a new clutch too . more my kind of speed . Today I've mostly been.... Finding out why I can't be fecked doing anything( amongst other side affects) for the last couple of months, it's the 8 tramodol a day my Doctor put me on, says the next alternative is liquid morphine. Haven't been near my shed, just can't be fecked. May try a wee while in the shed later or this weekend. Ride safe. J☺

Is it anything like Frankie Boyles Tramadol Nights?? I've been mostly trying to work out when my boss is on holiday so I can start working out how to make my own ironing board type backrest, using a shovel and some bits of metal kicking around.... £125 is way too much, especially when I don't want the pad (or perfect to be honest). If anyone does have one, I could do with a pattern.....

Today I've mostly been... getting presents from my wife, think she's trying to tell me something, lol 😂 She bought me a fluid turbo cycle trainer ( was £69.99 now £35 a aldi) and xl size motorcycle trousers from the same shop , she bought me the large size first, but had to take them back and get the XL 😨, could be worse, at one point I was 19 1\2 stone, now down to a svelte 15 1\2 😉😚.
Going in the shed to get my bike and try out this trainer. Ride safe. J☺

Mostly just finished a good few hours working on my scoot today. Only one swearing session and that was after finding out the new rear shock extension bolt I bought to go on my new Carbone rear shock has been drilled and threaded OFF CENTRE!! Ended up using an old one, but it does get a bit annoying the amount of crap quality parts that get sold. J☺

Mostly..having, back, hip and knee pain, after my scooter fixing stint yesterday 😕 All the best . J☺ Forgot to add ... Don't like working on a whole scoot in my shed, so worked on the slabs outside, like I always have, managed to get sunburn on my neck, ears ,nose and cheeks yesterday, I put it down to my ginger gene and being a true Scot!😂. Could have been worse, last time I got it on my builders crack (top of my arse) as well .😂 J

Today I have been mostly getting really really wet! Not used the car for 3 weeks and scooted to work every day in the beautiful sunshine. Car went in for some work to get it through it's MOT and today we have a storm! First time riding in really bad weather. Think I need some proper waterproofs for this sh*t. Was actually not as bad as I was expecting, although dodging huge puddles of diesel/oil was a challenge! Filthy London busses p*shing everywhere on the corners. I've also come down another jet size to a 100 which seems to have fixed my bogging in first issue and starts abit easier when hot but still not 100% happy with that. Will check my plug on the way home but I think I've found my carbs happy place.
Enjoy your Tuesdays people.
