hi all, i have a px 125 with dr180 kit it has a sip road 2 , 21 tooth clutch gear ,24mm carb . problem is it drinks fuel like its going out of business. question , what jets do you think i should have ,at the moment its running the jets that came with the carb and the numbers are pretty much invisible. also can you put px200 gears into a 125 casing? thanks for your kind and informative comments . i love a bit of p*sh taking too so fill ya boots!!

Sime/H/Vespaco etc will know a lot more than me..i have the same lump/clutch cog..diff exhaust (simi) and only a 20/20 carb...i went up a jet size for running in..(then had a few probs (gasket related)..i would imagine if your running stock 24/24 jets your scoot is running rich..safe..and drinking plenty of juice, whats the plug look like?...apart from guzzling..whats the sip can like m8..i bought the simi coz it was bling and cheap..but would like something quieter

With stock si24 jetting its in the ball park. Do like DJLoone suggested and check the colour of the plug. Also check for signs of leaks in the fuel system Check your choke is not stuck open (although you'd probably notice it running bad)
I believe you can physically fit a 200 gearbox in 125 casings but you'd need the power to pull it.

cheers chaps, will check plug and leaks. djloone, i have tried a sterling expansion, a sito plus and a scootrs own brand expansion and the sip 2 is by far the best for a not too tuned set up. pulls better uphill too!! think i may go back to a 20/20 carb and just re jet it, but then in the shed is a polini air corrector vortex thingy so may just bung that on first to see how it plays!!

as vespaco said , you can fit p200 primarys into 125 cases ,but they wont "pull" them . going back to a 20/20 should get your mpg up , sticking the vortex on will drop ya mpg , more air burning more fuel thru bigger jets=less mpg .H

If you try the polini vortex you should also upjet a few points.
If your main jet is ok @ 125 for eg. then you fit the the polini air thing, you should start with something around 140 (a bit of a guess)
