Hi Wonder if somebody could tell me the nut size for the casing and bolts I've tryed m7 and they seem to be the closest ivengot a px 200 BTW

crank case halfs , the nuts n bolts m7/11mm . on a 200 the head studs/nuts m10/13mm . clutch cover m6/10mm .an 125's/150's head studs m7/11mm . on all vespas unless some bodys been messing with em . H

The crankcase bolts are the D shaped head 7mm bolts, some different lengths are available. The nuts take an 11mm socket
Are the holes for the bolts clean? Maybe cheap first with a 6mm drill, then a 7mm drill, see what's happening, then... are they 8mm holes?? I don't recall.
Or are you holes too big? Or?

Rewlly strange I've cleaned all the bolt threads and still they don't fit

Are the m7s 1.25pitch? I'm sure the nuts I've got are 1.0 pitch They almost fit but it stops on the end of the nut

Ah! I see what you mean now. I'm 95% sure that m7 nuts and bolts are 1.25 on vespas. I always buy original Piaggio crankcase bolts and nuts together. They are like a dark grey colour. The cheaper ones tend to be only 4.6's and shear quite easily.
So are you using all new bolts and nuts? Try a new nut on an old bolt Try an old nut on a new bolt
M8 bolts are also 1.25. Try the thread pitch of M7 bolt against an M8.
