Doing a bit of pre-run maintenance, and had intended to drain and change the gear oil. But the only stuff I have about the house is some 10W/40. Is this an acceptable sub for sae 30, or should I leave the change until I can get some of the good stuff? Busy most of tomorrow, but could get some at a push. Cheers

id like to give you the 100% answer but im only 80% sure , so maybe the guys on here can jump in ,As i understand some newer oils have to much detergent in them and this can harm the clutch plates , you need a classic low detergent/dispersant monograde lubricant . id wait and get a oil thats right instead of just throwing so in that your have to hand , ,hope this helps

Yep; still running that same FORD ATF and with same results as always. Good light clutch action with positive shifts! In fact a good reminder to change it after 4,000 plus miles in there!!!!!!
