Hi, Has anyone converted their post 2011 ignition back to std Ducati ignition pre 2011. If so I am looking for a std limited rev cdi unit for my 2012 PX125 as the ht cable on mine is a bit iffy and I can't afford to convert so I'll have to keep it as is. Also if anyone has modded their scoot with a barrel kit I am looking for a std 150 barrel & piston.
Hiya H not exactly, there is a screw but compared to a ducati cdi it's miniscule and hardly gives any purchase. The original cable strictly speaking is a non repairable permanent bond and was a proper pain to remove I've already changed the cable but even with silicon and self amalgamating tape it's borderline. I also read somewhere that the rubber cap that covers the lead terminal presses into the cylinder head cowl and aids the cooling process as air from the fan can escape through the hole if an ordinary plug cap is used. The benefit is probably marginal but I suppose every little helps
