i have read the sticky but it dont really help, the exhaust i have i got from a m8 and he said it was sh*t, he shook it and said hear that? thats the sound of an old sh*t exhaust so i really need a new one, i was just gonna buy a standard black p200 one but while looking some others look nice. i suppose i just want a nice sound, dont want to start messing about with jets just a nice sounding plug and play, some of the stainless steel ones look great but as far as i have read the sip road ones are a good upgrade, just looking for everyones thoughts.

Hi Doulsy Any non standard exhaust will require a jet upgrade. the sip road exhaust is meant to be good quality and performance while looking std some of the stainless ones mean you cannot easily adjust clutch/brake or change wheel without taking off exhaust. Scootering mag did a write up on all the popular ones last year, I gave it to Gordon as he was looking for an exhaust for his PX, I`ll ask him to drop it off to you if he is finished with it.

I know you want basic fella but if you go for a sip pipe it's only a couple of quid for a jet and drilling the filter you can do your self .there's a lot of added benefit for just a few quid more .smoother running better hill power and it will sound pritty

as rab says ,go road2 an upjet the main by 2 numbers ,leave filter alone an it will transform the scoot ,an still be safe an reliable .i tend to steer away from stainless exhausts ,like chromed ones there a tad noisier/tinny-er ,an coz of propertys of stainless more prone to cracking at mounts/end cans unless mounted carefully an un-stressed . a painted sip road with a extra blast of high-temp laquer will last longer an be better than stock .am impressed with the build spec of the TSR big-box ,an there about 20 cheaper than sip,but didnt compare that well on a dyno.am reserving judgement til reports from road use/long term come in ,as dyno's arent everything,real-life exact . Ianmartin40 is selling me a sito + that he bought and never used so thats the exhaust sorted, my main jet right now is 118 and i have ordered a 120 and 122 so what you's recon i should use jet wise? was also going to order a new filter, the ones from sip allready have a whole drilled or would i be best with a standard filter? or is it just trial and error?

undrilled i reckon a 120 will do ya ,drilled sip filter the 122 , an yes it is always a tad "trial an error" ,as every engines different. make the "error" to large a jet to start with as thats safer . so if undrilled try the 122 1st ,an if drilled maybe get a 124 to start from . cant remember for sure but believe the sito needs same jet changes as the sip , been a while since i saw 1 .they stopped making em for awhile but i think are back around .H

Thats my sito plus on( took some faffing) 122 mj on, think its a bit rich but only ran it for a few minutes, had to put choke back in straight away and give it a rev or it was cutting out, so waiting on better weather.

Did you copper grease your exhaust bolt Doulsy? Should have mentioned it before, but still worth it to prevent that bolt seizing up in there.
