Hi pal put the lever on last night and the splines were too far round making it impossible to turn the engine over, I've got a shortened lever and this is level with the centre stand so you can't grab hold of stand with your foot, I think I've put the shaft in wrong is that possible?? Cheers Andrew. Ps nightmare as now I'm sure I've got to take most of the engine apart ?

sounds like youve got a px kicker ,if by shortened you mean the curly one to fit a px into a older frame 1 ,the t5's have a different kicker to any other vespa ,with different splines .an if memorys working ,they are shorter than px/cosa ones ,but sounds like a mis-match between shaft n kicker .did you change the shaft or re-use ya old one , as they are interchangable in the cases ,just different splines on end .
