Hi, I have never owned a scooter, in fact I ride a harley, but want a vespa and will probably order one in the near future. I think I wil get a PX from Ron Daley and have it converted from 125 to 200. Is the shop reliable, before I go down that route? I note that he also does tuning parts, and was thinking of asking if they could be fitted at the same time, probably the 225 big bore, crank and pipe. I have heard that these kits can run hot, but can be rectified with a thinner gasket, but i have NO idea. I want the scooter to be reliable and would hope that it would allow it to cruise at60mph, is this likely or not, and would the shop be capable of doing a good job? failing that if it is too dodgy etc, i will look elsewhere of get a GT300. any help or pointes would be appreciated as I don't know the score and don't want to waste money cheers

GEEKY , moi' , cheeky beggar , hi n welcome , as djloone says it would be easier an cheaper to get a p200 straight off , only shop ive heard off selling new px's with 200 lumps in wanted something like 2000 for the engine an fitting ,on top of scoot price .for less money ya can grab a decent whole px200e . or just kit a 125 upto 170cc n decent pipe will get ya same performance . i ride bikes aswell as scoots ,if its a modern harley be prepared for less brakes an handling ,but more fun . i like nothin better than a sunday outing in town ,harley baiting in traffic ,but thats just my "sense of humour" ,such as it is .
