Not sure if this has already been covered, but I have recently replaced my front shock on my 84 PX as the front end was bottoming out every time I applied the front brake or hit a bump. this is still doing it so have put it down to the slightly excessive puppy fat I am carrying. what is the best shock to upgrade to stop this happening or do I need to give up drinking beer and enjoying myself!!

Enjoy yourself Change the shock Theres an array of good shocks out there Sip do their own quality shocks As do Pinasco, which are a lot cheaper if you buy from italy like i did. Quality shock. Cheapest and the best! Bgm do some aswell i believe. Bitubo if youre feeling flush The other cheaper adjustable shocks look a bit too cheap to me. Shiny plastic. Or one of these beautiful monstrosities.... Give up drink!!!! Thats a tough one

SIP had to do a recall on their shocks fairly recently, which put me off them a bit. Those Pinascos look quality if you're feeling flush. I'm thinking about Carbone – I think pxguru has them. I won't be going any lower cost/quality than that though - lots of bits to buy.............

I changed my front shock on my rally for a BGM adjustable from SCK , made a hell of a difference to front end ... not too expensive and postage / delivery time was very good , am sure they do one for later models .

They look pretty good for €50 swm !! If i had seen one like this for the rear, with the continuously adjustable spring mechanism, id have probably saved myself a few quid. Let us know how it is after a good few miles

Hi Hully, I recently replaced my front shock with a Pinasco, great job and fully adjustable, I got it on Ebay direct from a seller in Italy, around £80. D.
