Clutch side seal problems
Hi guys been having a issue with clutch side seal,, last week I dropped the gear oil out and found it grey and stinking of fuel ,, so I went out brought a new metal oil seal and replaced today!! just been out for a 20 mile run dropped the oil out to find it's grey again!! NO smell of fuel though???
Could the oil just have the remnant of the fuel which was in the engine as I didn't clean it!! Cheers

yep ,most likely its contaminated by old fuel left in , didnt clean it ,thats you in the "naughty corner" then , slosh a load of petrol in ,shake scoot about then drain ,an leave with drain plug out for a couple of days if possible ,hopefully will shift enuff sludge n old oil that another oil fill an run then drain an fresh oil re-fill will give you clean oil to run with . wickes builders merchants or garden centres in the lawnmower section for cheap sae30 oil . dont want to be flushing with expensive scooter shop rock oil . either squirt it in oil filler hole or take off breather an pour it in there , but be sure an drain it right out an leave drain plug out for as long as possible to get it all back out .dont want it making you think the seals gone again ,so 1st fill of oil take scoot for a good run an get it hot an drain an dump it , an hopefully the nxt fill wont get contaminated an will stay clean an not grey . Sounds like that was easy changing the oil seal, did you not have to split the engine to do it?
I have grey oil in my P2 but no smell of fuel, what can that mean?

Grey in the oil is probably nothing more than contamination from everything in the gearbox. Specially if its done loads of miles since last gear oil change.
If theres no lumps of metal, plastic and or petrol in the oil then you should be ok. Maybe its just time for an oil change?
Ive changed my clutch seal yesterday too. Just got back from a 100+ mile run today, taking it nice and easy. No problems at the moment!
