Mik from the AFSC, who is traditionally a Lammy rider, has just got a Vespa and has the following question: "I have a wire chafed through at the top of the legshield under the headset. How the flip can I change/get at it without ripping the whole loom out?"I have enough trouble re-connecting the speedo when I take a headset off, so can anyone else help him out?

the loom does have a few inches free play in it Ie; to allow the headset to be lifted upwards ( and then some more (horn and brakes wires being disconnected allows further travel). Graft your replacement section in and then cover with heatshrink tape.

Cheers lads, I know from personal experience that we mechanical novices always worry when it comes to how far you can yank your parts without breaking something. Fyakk.

Morning all. I'm currently building a cut down PX125 and have encountered a wiring problem. As usual, the loom was a birds nest of wires, connectors, etc, so I got a new loom, and there's the issue! Loom is fitted in frame, it was from a local supplier who gets his s**t from India, so guessing it's LML/PX. The colours and connections seem to be all over the place, wrong colours, blue/white at rear but no corresponding at front etc. Anyone ever tried fitting one of these new looms to a PX, who can offer some advice please. I'd add photos but no idea how to. Cheers. Pink.
