Just put this on my bike and to be honest the fit is terrible. Has anyone got any experience/ techniques on how to get a good fit? www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/sport+seat+sip+evo+for+vespa+_31080000I've seen some people put a rubber seal around it to cover the massive panel gap and ONCE I've seen it flush (which was on the sip show bike). Any ideas on what would be a good seal to use, I'm thinking of using a few side panel rubbers. It catches on the fuel cap and the fuel sender cover, which isn't a massive problem as I can file a gap but it will still catch on the edge of the fuel tank, and I'm not taking the tank out, emptying it and then grinding the excess away. Thanks, Ali

ive seen panel rubbers used aswell , an for comfort the bum-pad replaced or improved with bycycle/motorbike gel pad inserts , an also the only well fitting one ive seen is the sip scoot 1 , unless a load of fettlings been done . H

Used the panel rubbers and it actually came out alright. Will upload pictures soon either in this post or the build thread. Put the cushion on and it looks good but I can tell there is gonna be a comfort issue in the near future - oh well in the battle between style and comfort, style was always gonna win this one.

Hi there, I came across this post and felt it my duty to help future fitters of this very seat. I have the same seat and was annoyed with the fit, especially considering the price! I realise this post is from 2015, but there’s no info really out there to help people. I actually joined this forum just to post this. From the seat information page on the SIP website, there is a link ‘Download Information’ which leads to this data sheet about the fitting of the seat. There are threaded rubber pads and adjustment rubber washers for fitting, which require holes drilling and ideally tapping to fit. I called SIP about this and examined that they didn’t come with my seat and they sent me some for free! See this link which is the fitting datasheet: sip-scootershop.com/en/main/base/details/Download.aspx?ID=c1ff5aa5-567b-44c9-b08b-eea3b6cc33eeThis link is the actual rubber buffers: sip-scootershop.com/en/products/silent+rubbers+sip+seat+_31031000Also, the bars that the seat sits on have rubbers too to stop the seat moving about. I think these came with my seat but are a bit weak so I bought spares. See this link: sip-scootershop.com/en/products/bush+sip+gfgseat+_99000003The seat is pricey, especially if you buy the wafer thin cushion too, so the seat locks are now in stock too. Note these are a bitch to fit! sip-scootershop.com/en/products/seat+lock+sip+seat+for+vespa+_31040000I hope this helps someone in the future and helps protect your paintwork from the seat scratching.
