I managed to lose my one and only key yesterday so I ordered a set of barrels from beedspeed. The ignition barrel is no problem as I've already removed that for cleaning and lubricating, but I can't see how the glove box & seat lock strip down to replace the barrel. Can anyone point me in the direction of a website or run me through the procedure.

Unless the illustration is misleading on beedspeed's site it just looks like 3 barrels hence my confusion.

they do sell 3 barrels as a set ,means you dont end up with 3 different keys for ya scoot , but most/me included just do as rab says n replace the whole lock , i'm guessing youve got to either drill the old barrel out or use a slide hammer on it , an it will be held in by the chrome bezel being rolled/crimped over the body , will have a look at spare 1's ive got in shed after tea an see if i can suss it out ok, H

sorry was drunk after tea yesterday ,but hooked out 2 glovebox locks this morning there actually primmy/pk ones but principles the same , one on right you can see the clip that holds them in the lid ,an 1 on left you can see the arm/catch that locks , far as i can work it out is the end of barrel is peened/hammered over the catch , so you'll need to drill your old barrel out an then file away the end till arm is removable, fit new barrel into body of lock ,fit arm n hammer it over to keep it on , H

Right, sorted the glove box and seat lock. It turned out to be very easy just push the little tab in and out they pop, hopefully the new barrels will go in just as easy. I managed to destroy the ignition lock surround so had that to buy as well. More of a pain was a bit of damage to the steering lock wedge so I'll have the forks to drop to put a new one in. Heyho we learn from our mistakes.
