hi all i shall try to describe this best i can . my px125 (fitted with dr180 kit ) today , when i put it in gear , it felt like the brake was on . (but it wasnt) i tried to pull off and the engine stalled. then tried again ,same thing happened . next time i twisted the gears through from 1 to 4 and back, then it started and ran sweet. but sometimes the gears made a bit of a clunk when selected . any ideas clutch/gearbox? ?

cruciform , sometimes when there damaged/burred they dont transit from 1 gear to next cleanly an engage 2 gears at once an lock the box ,momentarily giving a clunk/hop , doesnt normally happen in 1st tho as the gap for neutrals between it an 2nd ,an its too wide for a cruciform to bridge . before considering opening the engine to investigate i'd go through my gear cables/selecter box adjustment an condition of the pawl on top of selecter . an also check my clutch cable adjustment ,in case thats ya clunk-er , but the box appearing to lock an then freeing after going through gears is a tad worrying an does need investigating .you wouldnt want it happening at speed ,or when slowing for a corner/junction or crossing , H

think i will check the selector and clutch first , do you know if the cosa style clutches all take the same clutch plates, mines a 2011 125disc.

far as i know cosa clutch plates are only 1 kind , least when i bought some recent the piaggio dealer didnt ask for which scoot ,just was i sure it was cosa 1's i wanted , after i'd dumped a oily clutch basket on his clean counter n said "i think so" , he sold em to me . H
