Im going to be fitting one of these soon... Would be handy to know the following;
What size nut is the original fuel tap? (On a rally 200)
Does anyone have any drawings / sizes of the tool needed to remove/fit the taps? Take into account the rally tank has the offset tap. Bgm is 32mm nut. Why do i think piaggio is only 30mm? I dont want to make a tool with the wrong size spanner!! That would make me a spanner!!
Any other tips for fitting/removal welcomed

god i'm hungover,my brain was tryin to tell me the nut was 22mm , reading ya thread link jus saved a cold/wet/snowy walk to shed to check, is your rally tank opening offset like a gs 1 , right at the end , or like a smallie 1 where tap is just slightly offset from opening , as if like smalls a ordinary tap spanner or plumbers tap wrench still works just a bugger sight more awkward .only pics of a offset tap wrench i can think of are on listings on flea-bay ,it will give ya idea of whats needed but no measurements i'm afraid . bit of a sod having to make 2 spanners tho, glad i went standard this week for my v100, didnt know the bgm was different size n had to cut the hell out of my spanner to get it into the smaller tank opening ,at least on a rally a 35mm spanner will fit in, tho smallie people fit bgm's so must be possible,my fuddled brain cant see it tho this morning ,will get in shed when fug clears an see what ive got that might help. saw ya for sales ,hope its just a clear-out ,not a "closing down" sale .H

Thanks H. If you happen to have some measurements handy of the tap nut , id be happy to know. Ive never heard anyone else having to use 2 x different spanners. Im hoping the stock tap is also 32mm And yes irs offset by quite a way, like the GS, SS. With regards to sales........Watch this space Im having a think about what direction to take .... Get rid of everything except my Rally and matching cases, Or be greedy, keep it all to myself, and let it go rusty over the next few years!!! If i had a job lot offer id probably take it! Any record collectors out there??? I also have loafs of rare-ish 60s RnB, Mod Jazz, Hammond, boogaloo, physch etc 45s and LPs for sale. Job lot only. Grab a bargain! Over £3000 worth on 'Discogs', for sale for 1/2 that price!!

erm , confession time , rather than dig out a nut from shed n measure ,dived in garage n measured tap-tool ,its 32mm , got me wonderin where i'd got 30mm from in earlier post ,so waded through the stuff in shed n found the box of old taps ,an 4 nuts are 32mm , an 1 from a pattern crap tap is 30mm? , i can only guess that must off been the one i grabbed n measured for other post , my only excuse was it was at night n i'd had a beer/2 .oops, means kidda's prob been cursing me since december ,will message n apoligise . so only 1 tool needed , hope ive realised my mistake in time n ya havent started yet, an once again sorry for the confusion my idiocys caused , am tempted by a job offer ,for scoot stuff ,fraid vinyl aint my thing, but dont think the piggybanks that stuffed at mo, but am wondering if youve still got various heads kicking about ,the stroking a p200 threads got me wondering ,get my new cosa cases nxt week n will have a measure up, am thinkin long-stroke/packing plate-lifted stock barrel/high comp head , will have a play with ya strokin figures in meantime ,H

No worries,,i thought id better check as i never heard of anyone else with this problem! Thats good news.. Ill open up a cheap gas bottle spanner (30mm an grind it down to less than 51mm so it fits in the 2" hole. The heads i have are for 69mm . but will look for a spare stock... Never know. Theres a 150 (super)? head knocking about somewhere. I've a few different figures for various heads so give us a shou if you need some info.
