Hiyya all, I'm new to this site and asking for any ideas/suggestions on what to do with my scooter. I'm going to tune the engine so I've brought a 166cc malossi kit and been told up jet the carb to a 105 also change the clutch from a 20 tooth to a 21 tooth, any more ideas or suggestions or technical information would be truly appreciated, thanks

Its the age old question(s)....
How fast do you want it to go? (eg, streetracer or tourer)? How much time/cash have you got? How often do you want to tinker with it?
Either way, if you have the malossi kit already, the next thing on your list should be an exhaust/expansion pipe which would work well with which ever carb you end using.
Have a look through the recent 'Malossi 221 jetting' thread... I think it was Gaz who listed a few different variations/set ups.. May give you some ideas.

as gaz says ,match the cases to barrel, check cylinder height /deck height/squish n as vespaco said get a proper pipe that complements the kit an what use your planning ,tourer=sip road2 ,tuned=expansion type, check out simes66 recent thread "squish height/port heights etc" , he's planning on a similar venture an has just asked same question an got a very full answer with all the info needed, its a long read ,3 pages i think, but will show you whats involved , H sorry ,full title is "long cranks, thicker gaskets, squish, port timings" an its 4 pages long ,

the old saying is..... a) cheap b) fast c) reliable you can only choose 2 although technology and better knowledge/experience are slowly trying to turn that into 3 out of 3
