an some idea of which lock it is , just a steering or more probable on a pk the combined ignition an steering , the key turns an ignition works but the steering lock doesnt dis-engage ,yes , i think there the same design as a px 1 ,you can get to the back of them once the horncastings removed ,the ignition bits held in by a allen headed grub screw ,remove that an then you can see the back off the lock an bit that engages into the fork/stem ,with the key an pliers you should be able to turn it so its off , if its just sticking a good clean up an lube should get it going , if its jammed on coz its worn/broken ,in a theft attempt maybe, you'll have to replace the whole lock, i havent a pk or manual to look at an cant remember how its done , before all this a good try an wiggle the bars an work the key back n forth a few times an it might free itself ,but then i wouldnt use it again as it could jam n strand you somewhere ,reckon its a lock change either way, H

Odds are it's an internal problem on the lock. Only seen this once before (on a P range) and one of the pins had locked into place. We ended up destroying the lock (carefully!) with a drill. Complete pain in the arse of a job, but a fresh lock sorted it.
