Hello, after replacing my old barrel and piston with another standard setup, I found the casings have been ported previously. First question is, how do I find out what the porting is for? ie Mallossi 210 or Polini kit? Secondly, if I get the kit to match the porting, apart from jetting and maybe a t5 fourth gear, what other things do I have to take into consideration? Clutch etc?
Thanks in advance..

How much work has been done? A picture speaks 1000 words Has it been welded around the ports? If you upgraded to a kit , to make it go you would need to upjet if using a mild expansion pipe like the sip road, or for something with even more omph try a 28/30mm carb and big expansion, A stronger clutch may also be a worth while investment! Then maybe a new crank!? Bearings, seals... Then to make it stop, Upgrade shocks!? Brakes too? How many $$$$ do you want to spend!? I dont want to put you off ..there are cheaper ways to do it - Bolt on a malossi (if thats what its ported for), upjet, sip road, ride.

I am hopefully splitting the cases in the next few weeks to change the cruciform which I think is knackered.. I will take a photo then and put it up on here... I dont want to go mad, prob just put a malossi kit on (I think it has been ported for this kit) upjet and I have a decent exhaust on already...
