[quote author=" sime66" source="/post/30881/thread" timestamp="1411471905"......CAREFUL - not to drop anything into the crank case!![/quote] Ahem! Yes, be very careful....without even realising it I dropped a washer inside my crqnkcase!!! And yes, it done lots of damage. I started it up and took it for a quick test ride...and pushed it back home, about 100metres away)! all just 2 days before I was booked to go to Northern Africa on it! Doh! Not even enough time to order one with 24hr delivery... Doh! I drove 200 odd miles to Beedspeed in the end for a new crank and other bits n pieces id need for another emergency rebuild!! Be very careful!! I just saw the other thread.... Yes that carb leak should definitely be fixed before any plug readings are considered to be worthy. And no taking out plug after idling!!!!! Cut engine cleanly at wot is best. And yeh...Please....When posting photos.....clear, focused photos with flash or in daylight, would help considerably!!! I cant see much detail in any of those pics.

Had a good run out this evening, didn't manage a full plug chop but did check the plug when I got back, things are looking a good bit healthier and I think the carb box leak seems to be sorted. Hopefully get a few pictures over the weekend for you all.
