Here you go Nik, wiring diagrams as requested. Note that there are two diagrams: The first is a pretty much standard wiring diagram (non-battery - Just ignore the 5-pin and battery for now), as I started adding my own stuff I realised I should leave this one as a standard reference, and make another to keep my own mods up to date, which is the second one. As they’re on my computer, I can turn off and layers for wires I don’t want to show to make a single circuit easier to follow. (As I did for the indicators on Rab’s thread). The other improvement over the Haynes manual diagrams is that the arrangement of the main terminal block connectors is correct as you look at it with horncover removed (as bottom image posted here), whereas Haynes is pretty random. Standard: My modifications/Additions: Termnal Block Connectors:

Hello Dinh, I am sure we can help you with this. We need to be certain what it is you are asking. I think you have PX150E – frame number says – (VLX1T?) - 686786 - 1984-1990 Vespa PX150E Arcobaleno I think you have said it is without autolube (oil tank), but has had a starter motor fitted by a previous owner. I think you have said that it ran for 5 minutes before the lights died. So some questions for you: 1. Was the battery fitted when the starter motor was fitted, or is it there from manufacture? – I will find the correct wiring diagram for it depending on whether it was made with a battery. My wiring diagrams above are for non-battery, and then for with a battery added by me; they are not for an original battery scooter. 2. Did you start it with the starter motor, or kick-start? 3. Does the horn work? With engine running? Without engine running? 4. Did the engine die, or just the lights? 5. Do you know the electric system on the scooter, and the places to look for stator, CDI, regulator? 6. Can you use a multimeter to test the circuits? I will start this again on a new question thread for you, where other, more experienced people with better electric systems knowledge can help you; that should make the question clear if you can answer those questions there. This is a link to your question: vespa.proboards.com/thread/4622/electric-query-dinh

We must know if the trouble is your engine or your lights please dinh. Before that it is hard to say where to look first. Can you answer all of these: 1) Do you have trouble with starting your engine? (With kick? With electric starter?) 2) Do you have trouble with keeping your engine running? 3) Do any electrics work with engine not running? (Which ones? lights? Horn? Others?) 4) Do any electrics work with engine running? (Which ones? lights? Horn? Others?) 5) Can you test your battery voltage? (With engine running? With engine not running?) We can look at stator and regulator next, but must know first what the trouble is. If your engine and battery are OK, it might just be some wires. Have you got one of these to test some circuits?

dinh , sorry my Vietnamese =zero ,an am having trouble with the translations provided by google, but, your a "engineer" at work so am guessing you know a screwdriver from a hammer , it sounds like youve a home fixed scooter , best bet is to return to as close as standard as is possible , an the prices you state for stuff seem high, youve internet access shop around an its more affordable to buy ,H

For my money:
Rip out the wiring loom, and replace with one that copies the original. Then see where you stand.

With a bit of patience while we let dinh explain the trouble, it might be far simpler, before we start ripping it all out. Give the chap a chance, eh?
