Hi, would anyone have a spare copy of the Scooter Techniques Vespa Running and Maintenance DVD that they would be willing to part with? Thanks, D.

Please don't do copies of this, it's not as if Sausage made a fortune out of them.
Thanks

Hi Nik, To put your mind at rest, Darren didn't ask for copies, and I didn't offer copies. I did offer a brand new original pair though: I know he was a mate of many.

Just watched the maintenance DVD, very easy to follow, even for a novice like me. Sausage has a great way of explaining everything.

I tried the internet and phoned Scooterproducts number from their full page ad in the Scootering magazine, they haven't had them in a while and don't know when the will be back in, must be costing them a small fortune to run the ad for something they don't have.

dvd copying software is free, and blank dvd's are dirt cheap, not that i know anything about the origins of the product or who owns the copyright, but someone should be able to step in and do a boat load of copies for them to see through the proper channels

I'd like to buy original ones, but where could I find thrusworthy seller, who sends to Finland? How could I check if eBay sellers are selling legal copies or not?

Hi partenen, The running maintenance DVD, which is the one it's hard to get at the moment, is just pretty basic maintenance. that's really a matter of keeping an eye on Ebay unless they do a re-run of it. The double-DVD - engine rebuild is still easy to get; you don't need to use Ebay for it, probably best new price/source for that is £21.99 (rest of World price) from here: www.scooterproducts.com/catalog.php?category=DVD%20and%20VideoScroll down to it; You can trust him, no problem.

Thanks. I've browsed those site several times, but never ordered anything. Now I could. I took my engine to pieces last winter, and now it runs well, but I'm sure there is always something new to learn.

Goodman Mick, As sime66 said when I got mine off him, ''I'll bet you're into that engine of yours sooner than you think; it's a really useful set of DVDs'' They have been a great help with my present task of sorting out my Carb Box Leak, as well as all the advice you get from the lads on here

Excellent, good to hear. Up until a month ago, i'd not even changed a spark plug, now i've got a bit more confidence i've had the carb apart, changed the jets, air filter etc, all from watching clips on youtube. I have a haynes manual but black and white minute pictures dont always help.
Gazp - just simple stuff like if i get a flat tyre, or a cable snaps, i want to be able to fix it myself at the side of the road.

This bloke is no Sausage, but for very basic maintenance and repairs, these might get you going (cables, tyres, oil, carb etc...): That is the first of four 10-minute videos done for a Stella; they're good enough. That link, and loads of others to useful stuff is all listed here: vespa.proboards.com/thread/3999/engine-rebuild-literatureTake some time to read down through it; there's lots of info there, already linked and listed for New Tweakers.

Anyone got any tips on getting air time on your own tv to watch it. If it's not the wife watchingStrictly, it's my daughter watching the disney channel. I thought I'd get up nice and early today but my son's had the same idea and we have cars 2 on now.
