Hello wondered if anyone can help. Is the battery on PX125 used for anything other than the electric start? I am rebuilding a PX and was thinking of leaving the electric start off. What can I get rid of if I do?

Electric start and horn only. Wire the DC part of the loom direct to the DC output from the regulator.

Thanks... Don't suppose you know how to easily get the pin and bearings out of the bottom of the forks too (The one with the funny caps pushed inside in fact how do you get that out too lol)

the fork leg to link pivot is a bugger to get out an back in again ,properly it needs a press ,can be done in a very large vise but its grief .ive done it in the past but nowadays just buy the part an take fork to a scoot shop with the proper tool ,its a half hour job an costs me 15 quid ,an to be honest i'd probably pay double happily to avoid the hassle.Henri

Ah right, sorry - I was thinking lower fork stem bearings. Get it done professionally, as Henri says.

that price is when ive taken forks out n stripped em an bought the bit already ,an is also a "mates rate" from local piaggio dealer creeping to me as i get on with his wife in the shop an his mechanic aswell ,him i'd rather walk past than p##s on him if he was on-fire ,he knows he wont see any more of my money but like the rip-off merchant he is ,he's always hopeful .an stops me safro-caribbeaning in background when he's doing his salesman talk selling a new scooter, i have to leave shop before the "if ya cant trust me a piaggio dealer you cant trust anybody,blah,blah" line as it cracks me up every time .H
