Hi All,
New to this type of thing and need some help from anyone willing !
I am fast approaching 40 and want to get my PX 200 which had lay idle fir far far too long back on the road as a birthday treat to myself !
I want her to get the full treatment including sand blast, powder coat etc etc. To that end I have for the first time ever & thanks to Haynes manual - taken the engine out to do a full body strip down.
However - can anyone tell me how to remove the side panel locking arms / rods to all for full blast & respray ?
Thank you if you can help !

Tank out - Through the hole where the tank was. Screws are right down the bottom; bracket, spring and arm all come out as one:

I'm also having the same problem - I can unscrew the two screws on each leaver, and have removed the tray underneath, but no matter how I twist the leaver, there does not appears to be either enough room to lower the arm to get it out from the hole under the seat?
Also while I'm here - under these leavers are the housing for the indicator wiring in which the side panel slots into. I have removeed the wiring, but how do I remove the housing?
Thanks in advance.

Chinese puzzle time remove the plastic top hat style bushing at the top it gives a bit more wiggling space and yes they do come out without damaging the frame its just a case of finding the right spot , be gentle as for the indicator connections , unfortunately they usually break on removal
