I've just fitted some new Contis to split rims on my PX. But I'm a bit unsure of the correct pressures to use. The Haynes says F- 17 ish,R- 26 ish for solo riding. That seems a bit low to me ? I've searched on here, but can't seem to find an answer. Anyone got an opinion ? Cheers.

It does sound about right, but I prefer about 30psi in the rear due to my 'big boned' stature.

I've tend to stick to the manuals figures, maybe another 1 or 2 lb in the front, it does sound low but never had reason to doubt these are best settings. I dont go more than about 30 on the rear when 2 up.

On tubed tyres, 18 front, 28 rear is standard. I tend to go to 30 on the rear too (same reason). If I'm carrying a passenger, then I push the front to 20 and the back to 36. Tubeless are a whole different game.....

Funny enough I have 'played' with my mates PX125 on whitewall Continentals and ended up as 20Fr & 32re as the best handling set-up.

Personal preference is 20 front 30 rear....... 2 up I put 38 in the rear......... always have 40 on the spare. If I have a rack on the front for rallies I put 22 in the front.
