How do,
Not been on here in a fair whack, had a new lick of paint and everything!
Got a slight problem with my 98 PX (none disc). Front brake lever is suddenly not springing back after use so the brake stays on unless I manually move it. Not had a look at it properly yet as it started happening this morn on way to work so took the car instead. Could it be a snagged cable?
Ta,
Dan

Mine does same sometimes, I'd start with WD40 on the lever pivot bolt and cable end, then down at the hub end on the lever and also where the inner cable goes into the outer and adjuster
Work it a lot, if still no good probably time to change the inner cable..

If you don't ride correctly (mainly on the front brake) then the cable can start to rust over and bind with the outer. Head top off, lever out, free the cable and loads of heavy oil down the outer.
Just a thought too... You don't grease cables, as opposed to oil them? If so, bin the cable as it will probably have got bunged up with crud.

After experience of cables sticking on dirt/mud encrusted mountain bikes, I found that GT85 (in a red can from Halfrauds etc) was a good cable lubricant. Has added Teflon apparently, but worked well and smells of Lavender so better than WD40 ha ha. Good luck.

^ thats what I use, it's a better water proofing agent than WD40 apparently, 3 cans for around £8 on Ebay

I keep meaning to pick that up, but to free rusted over cables I find that nothing beats a heavy oil - then regular lube.
