Top right of the glove box I believe. There should be some spare wires knocking around in there to connect to if I remember rightly.

The only scooter I know that still has the indicator buzzers connected is the LML. The reason being that, I believe, they are illegal on bikes in the UK because they can confuse blind people at pedestrian crossings.
But I might be wrong.

No spare wires knocking around in my glove box, any other ideas?
I need this as my inability to cancell my indicator is goping to cause an accident, plus I will never pass my test.

best way to get over leaving your indicators on is keep your thumb on the indicator switch when you are using your indicators so you know you have left it on

One diode connects to the LEFT INDICATOR POSITIVE wire One diode connects to the RIGHT INDICATOR POSITIVE wire Earth lead connects to any EARTH wire or frame. And job is a good un, the diodes stop both indicators coming on at once when you indicate and the buzzer works when indicating in either direction. It's loud enough for me to hear over the noise of the engine too with my helmet on. a home made buzzer was fitted like this

Nothing is ever simple is it? The buzzer unit has only two connectors on it, and also it is marked 12v DC, I think I am on a loser here. £9.99 down the drain.

All new PXs should have female end spade connectors top right, inside the toolbox. This is because the indicator buzzer is removed for the UK market due to their illegality.
If it's impossible for you to remember to switch your indicators off however, I imagine that as long as:
1. You remove the buzzer unit before an MOT test; 2. No trainspotting traffic officer that knows his Con & Use Regs inside out hears it; 3. You don't mow down a blind person who steps in front of you thinking the green man is flashing;
You should be okay.

Hi With buzzer.
Get 2 dioades and coneect to the input terminal of the buzzer with bands facing away from buzzer. connect other end of dioades to either indicator + feed.Connect other side of buzzer to earth and thats it.
Feel glove box with small stones and throw them at blind person as you approach crossing, by the time they work out whats happened you will be long gone.

Silly me, I made an assumption that because my T5 had no battery it was 6v and not 12v. Apparently this is wrong and no T5's were every made 6v. So onwards and upwards, where do I get diodes? are there different sorts or are they just plain diodes?

Right this full engine rebuild / buzzer fitting has taken a massive turn for the good.
I have it working on one side, but obviously if I connect the other side they will be wired together and both flash like hazard lights. I guess this is where the diodes come in? They must be like a one way valve for electricity? to keep the supplies separate, I always was a bit slow haha, off to Maplins in the morning for two of there finest diodes.
By the way the buzzer does sound terrible, very high pitched, watch out blind people, especially if I am turning right lol.
Thanks guys

^ be a lot quieter and less anoying once your toolbox door is closed, to the point of being useless unless you are stopped at said pedestrian crossing!

Hi guys, on this 'are they legal, are they not?' thing; I've been trawling through the old Con & Use Regs, and a rather odd little book called the Traffic Officer's Companion that I bought in a previous life (but let's move on shall we), and I'm not getting very far.
So far all I can find out is what, by law, you must have, not what you musn't. Very frustrating, although I did come across a couple of things that will go with mod1969's thread on spotlights and MOT tests, so I'm hopping over there.

I've got buzzer fitted to my LML, it is quite annoying but it does work well. Fits inside horncover and just two wires coming out, I can hear it clearly through a helmet and over the top of a 180 kit and a simonini. I won't be fitting one to my T5 though as it makes me feel a right t**t while waiting at lights. As for being a reminder the indicators are on, what's the flashing green light for then? Illega?, not according to our testers, they think it's a great idea.

My green light doesn't work and I can't seem to find out why. Will investigate further when I strip it down.

Out of interest, and as an alternative to the buzzer, is it possible to get a motorcycle-style 'push-to-cancel' indicator switch for Vespa's? Something that fits into the current switch housing ideally. I too am fairly challenged when it comes to signal cancelling and suspect that this might help, as well as sounding less annoying than everyone is saying the buzzer sounds!

With respect, if we had a pound for every differing opinion expressed by an MOT tester, we could afford another scooter.
My 900th post. Woohoo.

Buzzer all working, and I like it. Would be a good idea to sort my indicator light on the dash out, anyone know what colour wires go to the orange light? and while you are there what colour wires go to the green light too?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
