Anybody know, roughly, how much oil goes in a P2 gearbox? I've just filled mine with about 250mls, until it came out of the filler hole. I seem to remember it taking much more last time?
Could just as easily be me getting old I suppose.

If poured/squeezed quickly with a tube on the oil container filling most of the hole you can sometimes get an airlock that blows oil back when actually it's not full to the filling hole. Leave it a while and re-try. If it comes out the hole when poured slowly I think you'll be OK. I have never checked capacities as in how much does it take unless have very little oil in my filler can. Level ground, filler plug out, poured slowly 'till dribble came out. Checked it a few minutes later, filler plug back in and clean off the dribbled excess oil!

Thanks fellas. I've got a 60ml syringe for the job and it had 5 shots, not all were full though, so I've probably got between 250 and 300mls in there.
