hi all hope you can help a newbie? i currently have a px125(180) and have just fitted a race crank and a nice scorpion pipe im goin to change the current standard carb up to maybe a 24/24 g, and and fit the correct jets. and i`ve been adviesed to port the inlet? or sommerthing along those lines but what do i have to do im not overly clued up on whats neded but if i get pointed in the right dicection i would like to have a go at doing it myself. cheers.

Ideally you need to match the transfer ports (complete engine strip). On the base o your barrel you will see three tranfers windows. Now these should be bigger and differently shaped to those on the crankcase mouth and thery will need milling to get a perfect match to those on the barrel. www.scooterhelp.com/tuning/vespa.malossi210.porting.html the above link shows yuo whats need and you may find this site useful
