Hi, i'm thinking about changing the exhaust on my PX125. When i bought it (about a year ago) there was a simonini pipe already fitted. I have not had any problems so far, but the exhaust is very loud and doesnt really affect the performance of the scoot in any way (or at least i dont think it does). Id like to get a quieter exhaust but with a similar look. The scoot looks smart with the simonini but its just too loud. Im quite happy to fit a pipe that fits on the spare wheel side of the scooter as im treating myself to a 4 in 1 rack and the spare tyre can go there. At the moment the simonini pipe is fitted on the other side (kick start side) Any ideas or help would be appreciated.
Also, as a side issue, my scooter does not fit on its centre stand very well at all. Its really leaning to the side and one of the legs doesnt touch the ground! Im scared its going to topple over sooner or later. Are the side stands any good or do i just renew the centre stand. Ive tried bashing it into shape but that hasnt really worked. Thank you.

Exhausts are personal preferance really myself i have always used Scorpion, they are more exspensive but last a lot longer than most others and with the right jetting you can improve peformance. as for the stand bin it and buy a new one, side stands are OK but you need a veru solid surface to use one.

With regards to the centre stand mate, maybe one of 2 the springs has come off. This happened to me and it had that effect. Have a look underneath.
Cheers.

If you're going to do nothing else but add an exhaust then the PM is extremely hard to beat, just upjet and away you go.
The Scorpion, although not a bad pipe,is made of stainless steel which retains it's heat a lot longer than a mild steel pipe, not the ideal scenario for an air cooled 2 stroke, you want to get rid of the heat as quickly as possible., on the other hand if you like shiny tat then stainless is ideal. ;D
As for your stand, has the actual stand worn through the rubber feet as this is a common problem, just cut the old ones off and fit either a set of ally stand feet or fit new rubber original style ones. The other common problem with stands is that some people try to ride the scoot off the stand, or sit there trying to look ace while on the stand, this causes the frame to bend where the brackets are, you can usually see a slight ripple on the floorboards, if this is the case then get the ally stand feet as they have a small amount of adjustment.

Cheers boys.
I really cant work out whats going on with the centre stand? Its really bugging me. I appreciate the engine and exhaust is all on the side that its leaning to so i guess it could be that? But would the weight really be enough to lean it over so far? The rubber feet have worn quite a bit but the metal isnt showing through so i dont think its that. Also, the springs etc that hold the stand on are in the right place. The stand doesnt appear to be bent either! All i can think of is the weight of the engine and exhaust is pulling it to one side? Can you buy a stand that has adjustment options, so that you can adjust the height of the legs on either side?? As for the exhaust, it sounds like i should leave it as it is - im getting used to the sound now -sounds pretty good actually! Cheers again lads.
